Activating your Aastra phones.
Automatic Provisioning - Use this in most cases.Manual Provisioning - This method is used if you want to manually input the phones configuration information. You will not need to do this in most cases. Most people should not have to do this unless method A fails.
How do I set the time on my phone? - Follow these instructions to set time.
I need to set up my phone for Static IP - Use these instructions after provisioning only if advised to do so by your network administrator.
A. Automatic Provisioning
1. Log into your account at http://my.vocalocity.com
2. Click the extension you want to assign to this phone
3. Scroll down to the bottom and click Device Profile
4. Select "Aastra" from the Provisioning Model menu and enter in the phone's MAC address, then click Save in the bottom right corner. The MAC address is found on the back of the phone.
5. Now, press the Settings button on the phone itself. Different Aastra models have this button labelled differently:
* On the 57 series, it is a button marked with a wrench icon, or it will be labeled "Options".
6. Scroll down to option 3, Phone Status, and press the Show softkey on the screen.
7. Select IP & MAC Address and press Show. Make note of the IP address of the phone.
8. Type that IP address into the address bar of your web browser. (ie http://192.168.0.200)
9. When prompted,
10. You should see the Aastra configuration page. Click "Configuration Server" on the left NavBar.
11. Preferred Method - This method works with newer versions of the Aastra firmware.
In the dropdown menu for Download Protocol, select "HTTP", and in the field for HTTP Server type "prov.vocalocity.com". For HTTP Path, type "aastra", and HTTP Port should be set to 80.
Your settings should match this picture:

Alternate Method - If your phone does not have the option to use HTTP, use the following procedure.
In the dropdown menu for Download Protocol, select "TFTP", and in the field for TFTP Server type "prov.vocalocity.com" as in this picture:

12. Click Save Settings at the bottom. You will now get a message saying to restart the phone.
13. Click Reset on the left NavBar, then click "Restart"
14. The Aastra should now restart. When it comes back up it will be provisioned to your extension.
B. Manual Provisioning
1. Log into your account at https://my.vocalocity.com
2. Click the "Extensions" link on the left side of the page.
3. Click on the extension you would like to assign your phone to.
4. Scroll to the bottom of the page and click on the "Device Profile" link.
5. Keep this web page up, as you will need to know the device profile information.
6. Plug in and power on your Aastra phone
7. Scroll down to option 3, Phone Status, and press the Show softkey on the screen.
8. Select IP & MAC Address and press Show. Make note of the IP address of the phone.
9. Type that IP address into the address bar of your web browser. (ie http://192.168.0.200)
10. Once the web page loads it will ask you for a login and password.
11. Now that the page has loaded click on "Global SIP" on the left side of the web page.
12. Follow the picture below to enter in the correct information. You will find your SIP User ID and SIP password on the "Device Profile" page from step 4
Please Note: In the information below, the proxy information is formatted like sip-XXXXX.accounts.vocalocity.com. The XXXXX represents your five-digit Vocalocity account number. For example, if your account number was 20202 you would use sip-20202.accounts.vocalocity.com.
Again, this is your account number, not your phone number, extension number, or anything else.
The fields into which you'll need to enter information:
Screen Name: Your extension number.
Phone Number: Your SIP user ID from the device profile.
Authentication Name: Your SIP user ID.
Proxy Server: sip-XXXXX.accounts.vocalocity.com
Proxy Port: 5060
Registrar Server: sip-XXXXX.accounts.vocalocity.com
Registrar Port: 5060 Registration Period: 120

13. After entering in your information click "Save Settings" at the bottom of the page
14. Disregard the restart message and click "Preferences" on the left NavBar
15. Scroll down to the "Time Server1" field. Please enter in "time.vocalocity.com" into this field and then click "Save Settings"
16. Now the phone needs to be restarted
17. To restart the phone click on the "Reset" link on the left side of the phones web interface. Under this page click the "Restart" button to restart your phone.
