Adjusting the Time on the Phone

Linksys
1. Now that the phone is powered on, press the menu button on the phone. This button looks like a piece of paper with a folded corner.
2. Scroll down to line 9 and press "Select."
3. On the second line, you will see "Current IP." Write down this address (e.g. " 192.168.0.150).
4. Put the IP address you copied into the address bar of a web browser, such as Internet Explorer or Firefox.
5. You should now see the web interface for the Linksys phone.
6. Click "Admin Login," on the right side of the page.
7. Click "Advanced."
8. Click the "Regional" tab, across the top of the page.
9. Scroll down to the bottom of the page, and about 6 lines from the bottom you will see "Time Zone." Please adjust this according to the time zone that you are in. -5 for Eastern and -8 for Pacific.
10. Immediately below the "Time Zone," you will see "Daylight Saving Time Rule." Please enter:
start=3/8/7/02:0:0;end=11/1/7/02:0:0;save=1This will ensure the time will change on the correct date.
11. Now, Click the "Provision" tab across the top of the screen.
12. On the first line you will see two drop down boxes. Please change "Provision Enable" and "Resync on Reset" to "No"
13. Click "Submit All Changes," at the bottom of the screen. Your time should now adjust.
Cisco 5xx Series
1. Now that the phone is powered on, press the menu button on the phone. This button looks like a piece of paper with a folded corner.

5. You should now see the web interface for the Cisco 500 Series phone.
6. Click "Admin Login," on the right side of the page.
7. Click "Advanced."
8. Click the "Regional" tab, across the top of the page.
9. Scroll down to the bottom of the page, and about 6 lines from the bottom you will see "Time Zone." Please adjust this according to the time zone that you are in. -5 for Eastern and -8 for Pacific.

Polycom
1. With the phone powered on, hit the "Menu" button. Then scroll to "Status" and press "Select." Under "Status," select "Network." Under "Network," scroll to "TCP/IP Parameters" and hit "Select." Now you will see your phone's actual IP address.
2. Please enter this IP address into a web browser's address bar.
3. The Polycom's web interface will now load. Please click the "General" link, at the top of the page.
4. Under the red heading "TIME," you will see "GMT Offset." Please adjust this according to your time zone. -5 for Eastern and -8 for Pacific.
5. Please click "Submit," at the bottom of the page. Your time will now adjust correctly.
6. You will be asked for a login ( this is case sensitive ) and password.
Username: Polycom
Password: 456
Aastra
1. Press the "Settings" key, scroll down to option 9 "Network," and press the "Show" softkey.
2. Enter the password "22222" (that's five 2s) and press the "Enter" softkey.
3. Scroll to line 2 "IP Address" and click the "Show" softkey. Make note of your phone's IP address.
4. In a new web browser, enter your phone's IP address into the address bar.
5. Once the web page loads it will ask you for a login ( this is case sensitive ) and password.
Username: admin6. When the phone restarts, we will want to set the time server on your phone. Please select the "Network" tab, on the left side of the phone's web page.
Password: 22222
7. Scroll down to the "Time Server 1" field. Enter "time.vocalocity.com" into this field and then click "Save Settings."
8. To restart the phone, click on the "Reset" link on the left side of the phone's web interface. On this page, click the "Restart" button to restart your phone.
9. If the time is still not correct on your phone, you will need to set the time zone inside the phone.
10. Press the "Settings" key on the phone and scroll down to line 2 "Time and Date" and press the "Show" softkey.
11. Scroll down to line 6 "Time Zone" and then press the "Show" softkey. Select your time zone and press the "Done" softkey.
Cisco 79xx
1. On the phone, press the "Settings" key.
2. Scroll down to line 9 "Unlock Config" and press the "Select" softkey. There are three passwords to try:
A) 1233. Once you enter in the correct password, press the "Accept" softkey and you will be sent back to the main menu. Be careful not to click the back button, or you will have to enter the unlock password again.
B) 1234
C) cisco
4. Scroll to line 7 "Localization" and press the "Select" softkey.
5. Now scroll to line 3 "Time Zone" and press the "Change" softkey several times, until the time zone corresponds to your region. -5 for Eastern and -8 for Pacific
6. Scroll down to line 5 "SNTP Settings" and press the "Select" softkey. Under line 1 "SNTP Server," hit the "Edit" softkey.
7. Enter the IP address "205.139.46.10" and then press the "Accept" softkey.
8. Hit the "Save" softkey and all your changes will be applied.
